The musical director for the day will be Lynton Atkinson. Lynton has sung in many operas all over the world and also teaches singing at Winchester College and Trinity Laban in addition to a busy private teaching practice. Lynton has been a regular guest soloist in broadcasts with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
The musical accompanist for the day will be Christopher Dowie who is the Accompanist and Assistant Chorus Master with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. He is the founder of the Wimborne Coral Society and the Wessex singers and has been a guest conductor for many other events.
Lynton and Christopher will be joined by Ali Sharpe - Musical Director for Rising Voices Wessex and Joy Atkinson - Trustee of Rising Voices Wessex for a day of music and song from the musicals.
We are fortunate to be able to use the Great Hall at Talbot Heath School for this event. The day will start at 9.30am for registration before the singing starting at 10 am. there will be a break for a sit down lunch and then singing again in the afternoon before a final performance at 4pm to which you can invite friends and relatives.
